In effect July-September 2020
We know it's hard for students to speak with adults about their mental health, even if the adult is a certified therapist. That's why we provide peer counseling - students helping students - to make mental health as normalized and casual to discuss as talking about homework is. We want our project to bring a sense of friendship and community in order to reestablish the social norms surrounding mental health in conversation. Our thought process is: everyone has it, so why aren't we able to talk openly about it?
